Paul Rogers graduated from Hull University (UK) with a degree in Music before continuing his studies at the Royal College of Music. After receiving his Post Graduate Certificate in Education, Paul dedicated 10 years to teaching in primary classrooms across England, achieving the National Professional Qualification for Headship. In 2002, he embarked on his first international headship in Japan, beginning a remarkable journey in educational leadership. Over the years, he has founded and led bilingual and international schools in Libya, Slovakia, Japan, Malaysia, and China.
In August 2024, Paul joined Asia Pacific Schools as Campus Principal, bringing over 20 years of experience as a school leader. His extensive background and warm, approachable demeanor make him a cherished member of the educational community, committed to fostering a nurturing and dynamic learning environment for students and staff alike.
Mohammad Abu Qatadah brings over 13 years of experience as an educator, with a career encompassing teaching, leadership and co-curricular development. Since joining Asia Pacific Schools in 2009, he has led key areas such as Co-Curricular Activities and Sports, ensuring students have enriching opportunities to grow beyond the classroom. Mohammad holds a BA in Arabic Language and Literature from the International Islamic University, Malaysia and a Postgraduate Diploma of Education from UNITAR International University. His approach to education focuses on developing students’ character alongside academic success, equipping them with the skills and values they need for life.
Aishath brings extensive experience across private, governmental and non-governmental sectors to her role at Asia Pacific Schools. She is an enthusiastic and focused educator committed to safeguarding and promoting the education and well-being of children and young people at all times. She began her career in education in 2002, leading the Distance Education Section in the Ministry of Education in Maldives and serving as a Lecturer in the Faculty of Education at the College of Higher Education. She then transitioned into corporate business in 2009 before returning to teaching in 2014. Aishath holds a Bachelor of Teaching and a Bachelor of Commerce from Deakin University, Australia, as well as a Postgraduate Certificate in Professional Education and Training. She is deeply committed to safeguarding and promoting student well-being, ensuring every learner feels supported and inspired to achieve their best.
Adam joined the APIS community in 2023 and has specialised in Primary education and school leadership for over 20 years. This has involved several diverse roles including school councillor, class teacher, deputy head and head of school. After completing a degree in History and Philosophy at Essex University in the UK, Adam qualified as a teacher and began his education journey working in London. His career to date has seen him take up primary school leadership roles in Penang, Spain, and private and state schools in England. Adam is devoted to developing a love of learning in all APIS students. This comes through providing rich learning experiences inside and outside of the classroom. His number one priority is supporting the APIS primary academic team to put learners and learning at the heart of everything they do. Adam lives in Kuala Lumpur with his wife and two young daughters. In his spare time, he enjoys travelling, sports and experiencing the rich food culture of the region.
Ms. Hanie brings her expertise in school transformation, professional development and instructional design to Asia Pacific Schools. She holds a BHSc (Hons) in English Language and Literature from the International Islamic University Malaysia, a Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching from Open University Malaysia and multiple certifications, including International Coaching Federation Certified Coach and Human Resource Development Corporation Certified Trainer. Before joining APS, Ms. Hanie worked as Senior Advisor at LeapEd Services, facilitating transformation initiatives and coaching school leaders, teachers and education officers. She is passionate about fostering resilience, respect and perseverance in students, ensuring they develop the skills and confidence needed to thrive in all aspects of life. Ms. Hanie has taught IGCSE First Language English and English Literature as well as KS3 English Language and World History.
Mr. Putera has been an educator for nearly 28 years, leading the Primary division of Asia Pacific Smart School since 2008. His career includes teaching roles in government and private schools across Malaysia. At APS, he focuses on fostering core values such as integrity, respect and perseverance in every student. Mr. Putera holds a Diploma in TESL from Teacher’s Training College, a BA in Education and an MA in Education from Universiti Pertanian Malaysia. He continually explores innovative teaching methods to enhance student learning outcomes and encourage both academic and co-curricular success.
Aaron is dedicated to making the admissions process clear, welcoming and supportive for every family.
