How to apply

Our Admissions Team will be in touch to guide you through the application process, and will request the following items of information from you:  

• Parents’ passport/Identity Card  
• Parents’ visa (if relevant)  
• Parents’ work permit (if relevant)  
• Student’s birth certificate (for non-Malaysians, translated and certified by their respective embassies)  
• Student’s passport/MyKid if Malaysian Citizen/Identity card  
• Student’s immunisation record
• Student’s previous school report  
• Student’s leaving certificate 

We strive to make the admissions process as smooth as possible, while taking time and care to give each prospective student’s application the attention it deserves. Generally, the full admissions process takes around 1 to 2 weeks from the initial application until the confirmation of a place, during which time your child may be required to sit for a standard assessment of their cognitive abilities.  

Our school terms start in August, January and April (international curriculum) and February, June and September (national curriculum) but we have rolling enrolment so students can join us anytime. We have strong settling in processes including a buddy programme to ensure children feel safe and supported as they transition into our community.   

For the international curriculum, students will be placed in year groups according to their date of birth. Our academic year cut-off date is 31st August every year. Students entering Preschool must have turned 2 by the 1st of September, and so on as they progress up the school.   

For the national curriculum, students will be placed in year groups according to their birth year. They must turn 6 in a calendar year to start Pre-Primary 1, and so on as they progress up the school. 

Yes, if necessary. The school will advise accordingly on the yearly visa charges. A one-time refundable personal bond fee will also apply per individual and this fee may vary depending on the Malaysian Immigration fee structure.

Yes. Our application fee is RM1,600 for Asia Pacific International School (international curriculum) and RM845 for Asia Pacific Smart School (national curriculum).

This depends on your plans and why you are looking to change schools.  The sooner a young person makes a change and has longer to settle into an environment then the better their learning will be.
